Join Suzy for a tour of our Vandalia Tower studio now that it’s been fully prepped for our phased reopening 💚 You’ll see everything from safe-distancing floor dots to 7x7-foot taped off workout areas to sanitation stations. We are following all required state and CDC guidelines to ensure DYF remains a safe space for our clients and instructors. We will have more to share in coming days as we show the new protocols in place. Thank you all for your patience and support as we work through details.
The indoor air at Defining You is being continuously recirculated through a high-tech, air filtration unit to ensure it is clean and sanitized. As part of our reopening protocols and COVID-19 safety measures, we're excited to be the first wellness studio to install medical-grade ISO-Aire clean air technology, which helps capture and destroy 99.99 percent of airborne particulates from viruses, bacteria, mold and pollen.
Suzy believes indoor air quality is an important, proactive measure to help ensure the health safety of clients and staff during the pandemic and into the future. “The COVID-19 pandemic has compromised our well-being on many levels,” she said. “It’s imperative the doors to our Minnesota gyms and fitness studios continue to re-open cautiously to help our clients continue to move more, feel better and improve their overall health. We see the ISO-Aire unit as one of several safeguards in place as we continue to serve our members in a welcoming, supportive and safe environment.”
ISO-Aire was developed in response to COVID-19 for medical-grade use by St. Paul’s Ducts and Cleats in collaboration with a leading Minnesota healthcare organization, and has now been installed in schools and other small businesses such as restaurants and hair salons. Suzy was even interviewed by reporter Bill Hudson from WCCO-TV for a story on indoor air quality.
The ISO-Aire recirculates the indoor air 24/7 at our 550 Vandalia Tower location with three powerful air quality components, including a 12-inch HEPA filter, UVC sterilization and ozone-free bipolar ionization. Combined they help to capture and destroy 99.99 percent of potentially harmful airborne particulates that are invisible to the human eye, such as the COVID-19 particles measuring .1 to .12 microns in diameter.
